AI Hairstyle Generator: From Words to Your Photo
A hairstyle you can put into words is a hairstyle you can find. Here's how to turn one — from a Pinterest memory to a look you've never dared — into a photo of you wearing it, with the written styles AI4Hair already has.
An AI hairstyle generator turns a written description of a style into a realistic result on your photo. In the free AI4Hair app every style is such a description plus a reference photo — pick one like “Platinum Blonde Pixie”, tap Generate, and the AI renders it on your own face in seconds. The app finds your hair by itself.
How AI4Hair reads a hairstyle
Every style in AI4Hair is two things: a written description — in effect a prompt, e.g. “Bob Cut: A timeless style where hair is evenly cut around the head at jaw level, often paired with a fringe” — and a reference photo of that style. When you tap Generate, both go to the app's AI together with your photo. There are about 780 of them: classic and layered cuts, short and long cuts for men and women, bangs, celebrity looks, 22 colors, lengths, makeup and beards. In the current Android version (October 2026) you can't type a free description of your own — you pick the written style that matches the one in your head.

The prompt formula still helps
Cut + length + color + texture/detail. It's how the descriptions are written, and how to find the right one. Compare:
- ❌ “short hair” — hundreds of candidates, nothing decided.
- ✅ a bob with a fringe from Classic Cuts Women, then copper from Change Color Only — two picks, and you get the picture in your head.
Useful cut words: pixie, shag, bob, layered, undercut, taper fade, buzz. Texture words: waves, curls, sleek. Detail words: bangs, fringe, curtain bangs, balayage, ombré.
Prompt recipes to steal
- The Pinterest reconstruction: describe the saved photo in those words, then find the closest style — a shag with bangs, say — and see it on your face instead of the model's.
- Cut first, color second: render the cut, save it, load the saved result as your new photo and try shades from Change Color Only on top.
- The texture switch: Style Only changes the texture without touching color or length — try curls on straight hair before a perm.
- The impossible one: Crazy for Female and Crazy for Men — zero social risk, maximum information.

Steering the generator
Change one variable at a time
If the render is close but not right, switch to the neighbouring style — the same cut in another color, or the same color in another length (Hair Length Only) — rather than to a completely different look.
Generate more than once
Each Generate starts from a new random seed, so the same style comes out a little different every time. Keep the render where the hair falls most naturally around your face — that's the one that will read as “real” to other people.
